Forward movement.... with PICTURES!!!

This year is really moving forward like a whirlwind in Oz!  Here it is already towards the end of February and I have only made one post here so far this year.  Now, to some, that might be a shame, but honestly, if you really think about it, my absence here usually means I am busy working away in the studio!

Looking back, I now realize I was supposed to put up some pictures of the latest finished gourds.  But alas, that will have to wait another day.  Today, I have other goodies to share with you!

First off, I want to remind everyone that the Leesburg Art Festival is just a couple of weeks away. If you live in or near Lake County, Florida area, you will not want to miss the event.  It is March 11th and 12th.  I will be located in booth 105!  I am super excited about this event because it earmarks my very first official outdoor artist festival. So please, come out and show your support for the arts....and The Pixie Knoll.  For more information on the event, here is a link:

I also wanted to let everyone know that I have officially created a "business" page on Facebook.  If you are wanting to know what I am working on more "frequently" please head on over the Facebook and follow The Pixie Knoll.  Here is a link to make it easier for you!  Remember to "like" the page!  You will know you have landed in the right spot if you see these pictures on the header.  :-)   Of course, these are subject to change at a later date depending on my pixie temperament for the day.   But for now, they will let you know you are at the right location.

Aside from creating the new business page on Facebook, I have also created a new logo that I will be using for my Certificates of Authenticity.   I am still fine tuning the details but I wanted to share with you what this image will look like.  I hope to have this completed in time for the upcoming art festival.   I would love to hear what you think about it!  Let me know.  :-)

As long as I am here, I thought I would also share with you some up and coming projects.  The first project is a super cool flea market find.  It is a vintage wine bottle holder, or was, just wait and see what it becomes later!  I have finished sanding it and still need to stain it etc.  But this great little find is destined for far better things than at the junk yard in the local flea market.  Unfortunately, it has currently been set to the side for other more pressing projects that I will share with you in just a quick moment.

New and improved item on it's way to being something wonderful!
The other "projects" I am working on are actually part of a huge commission for pixie head ornaments!  You remember in my last post that cute little pixie head ornament? Well, as luck would have it, that little fella managed to find a wonderful collector whom has requested a lot of them for her Christmas Tree this coming holiday season.  I am thrilled with this commission to say the least!  So, while I am busy working on her commission, I am in dire need of heads for finished doll figures for the upcoming shows.  It's almost like killing 3 birds with one stone.  :-D  Yes, I say 3 because aside from the commission, there is the Quinlan Doll and Teddy Bear Show and the International Doll and Teddy Bear Show too.
Cute little pixie head ornaments and upcoming doll projects on their way!

I have to admit, I feel like I am busier than a worker bee these days with so much going on, but you know, I am LOVING every minute of it.  I look forward to sharing my next post of finished works with you already.  But first, I will be busy sculpting more heads before I will have something "finished" to share.  In the meantime, thank you all so very much for your "likes" to my business page on Facebook, and too for your continued support of The Pixie Knoll.  Without all of you, the pixies would be so lost!

Happy Sunday!
